OK, so every now and then I am going to have to take a break from the current series of posts and have a bit of fun. First, I WANT TO THANK ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE COME TO MY SITE IN THE FIRST WEEK! I never thought so many people would find me so quickly.

Again I want to remind you that this is a community blog effort. Your input is welcome and wanted.

I will review this topic again in a couple of months when we have more readers. Here goes:

Please share with me your most amusing interview experience, whether you were the interviewer or interviewee. Please refrain from stories of too graphic a nature. In the spirit of the request I will share a couple when I re-post the comments listing in a couple of days.

Karl, I’ve had many.

Had one person get physically sick and have to leave they were so nervous.

Had someone have me call their Parole office. He asked if she could hear what he was saying and when I said no he said, “Did you see the many faces of Eve? This woman has more than her, RUN!!!”

I’ve had people interview for a sales position and when I told them they would get 15% commission they could not figure it from not only $1000 sale but not even a $100 sale. That was scary.

I always ask people for a life changing moment in their life. They tell me something lame like, “I once got a c on a test in college.” After about 3 stock answers I did not accept one guy said, “this doesn’t apply to business but when I was 16 I got my girl friend pregnant.” I said what happened then? He said, “I married her and 8 years later I have 2 great kids” I hired him and he became my best sales person. 10 years later he’s still the #1 sales person at the TV station.

So, let’s here yours.

Gary
