Hi Karl,
Thanks for covering Salesconx – we always appreciate feedback and commentary from the sales and marketing community.
As far as your commentary about whether or not Salesconx will actually work, I can understand your concerns, especially with the Web 2.0 market being as it is right now and with us being a very young organization. I will say that we have quickly turned into a favorite resource for sales professionals and marketers who are interested in leveraging Web 2.0 to drive lead generation and appointment setting for their organizations. We are seeing more than a 50% increase in membership each month, and a high margin of repeat buyers and sellers. We also continue to receive exceptionally positive feedback from members who have recently closed deals with connections acquired with our marketplace.
I think that one of the most important lessons that we’ve learned is that Salesconx isn’t for everyone – we have some members who are really loving the experience, and others who don’t view us as a viable solution for their needs. Such being said, in the six short months that we’ve been live, I think that we’ve found a receptive, albeit niche audience that really gets what we’re doing.
I suppose only time will tell. Thanks again for your feedback and let us know how Salesconx works out for you.
Thanks,
Gina

This looks a great idea, thanks for sharing it… however, I notice it’s for North America… I’m based in the UK… it’s a bit like showing a nice big juicy burger to a burger addict who is on a diet… cruel!
Sorry Colin, they are going to go global soon. Until then I have a nice soy patty and rice cake combination for you.

Karl this sounds like a GREAT idea. I’ll have to play with it very soon. It sounds a lot like a LinkedIn 2.0.
