Coffee Break: Been busy but Bill and Barack, bully boys, bully!

Forget your politics for just a moment and think about messaging. I am buried in obligations for my three fantastic clients but had to step in for a moment and say that this message from the DNC is a sales pitch like no other. It is positive, inspiring, TRANSFERS EMOTION, FEELS SINCERE, and challenges the status quo.

Ask not what a sales training teaches you if not these things. I am going to ask Barack and Bill to join me in teaching people how to deliver emotionally inspired messages taht educate and evangelize.

Karl, I gotta agree with you - Obama is a great orator - and a great salesman.

He focuses more on stirring up the crowd emotions, bt focusing on their problems and issues that matter to them. He puts them first! And he speaks in short, measured sentences. Superb!

I definitely can learn a thing or 2 from him.

    Cheers,
    Jag

I’ve been watching the presidential race from over the pond with interest and have got to agree with you on the connectivity and appeal that Barack and Bill have as orators and message deliverers. I’m intrigued to see how well Sarah Palin does for the republicans tonight.

  4. Sales Training Says:

I think what salespeople can learn from Obama is that he’s polished. That’s different than slick. Presentations should be polished so that they shine. Salespeople can learn from that. Pacing, careful choices of words, eye contact, body language, changes in volume, etc., can all impact a sales presentation.

Hi Karl - any comparative views on McCain & Palin?

  6. Thomas Says:

i agree with skip, obama has this presence and orah about him that tells his listener that hes the real deal. Hes not exactly persuasive but persistant and confident in his motions to make this economy boom again. I do believe we need a change in office whether its for better or worse, we know whats not working!
